At the begining of the series Joe is just like Joseph cold and ruthless but as the series progresses he develops character developement and becomes a just, nice and friendly character. So when Joe fights Jose its actually a metaphor for Joe's inner fight with his dark side, he's former self! 🥊🥊🥊🥊🥊🥊🥊

I will comment on this because I found this anime very realistic! Very similar to what we know about boxing in the real life!!!
Mendoza finished Joe, but Joe finished him as well!
I do not think Mendoza would ve fought again. For the first time, Medoza was knocked down several times and reached the last round! His hair turned whiye and he could hardly stand! He even was about to give up during the match!!
That match was the end for both of boxers!!
One of the best animes I ve watched!!!
