Happy New Year! I feel bad about the extreme cold you all are having right now. Good tip on old caravans. So many in the USA also are living off the land in tents and portable cabins with no electric, water or sewer. Its a hard life but you have your dreams. You two keep on putting out results of improvements. Nice flat slab. What a luxury. If you only had door and windows you could be inside home with a fireplace temporarily. Well I guess winter will not be long so never mind.
The new pup is so cute. Doesn't wander off yet. Hope you get him fixed. Those old chairs can't be blamed on the puppy. Next week I want to see you two sitting in new chairs on the patio with cups of coffee or wine.

Happy new year! I had to laugh so hard about your off grid tip, it sure is a good motivation to get the house done before the next winter. I use a hair dryer just for a minute or so to blow warm air under my blankets before I go to sleep. That works like a charm. No more cold feet when I go to sleep. Here in the Netherlands in the area where I live we didn't have any substantial frost yet. Each week the windows weather app predicts frosty nights for almost every day of the week, sometimes even -6C, but by the time that we get to that night that it is supposed to be freezing they change their so called prediction and then all the sudden it isn't going to freeze anymore. In the summer they do the opposite. Then they predict nice warm weather for the next week, but instead we get cold rainy days. The concrete is looking good. It will be a lot more comfortable to walk and to work on the house with an even floor. It will also be a nice place to have your seating area and to have your lunch when the weather warms up a bit. 👍

The patio base is a work in progress. Once it is laid you can then start the final tiles on it. Love the plan for the big wood pillars to hold up the patio roof. LOL I was watching you place the lights at the entrance way of the property and was expecting it to finish with a night view! LOL but no lights!

On your solar lights get some clear silicone sealer and seal around solar panel on top of unit as they are usually recessed and collect water and then fail.
