The ending was very satisfying to a sad but realistic film.
It's interesting how Hector refuses to acknowledge that his father was possibly a predator, just like him. Omid, the victim who escaped, made a valid point regarding the probability that Ravi was forced into a sexual relationship by Hector's father, most likely holding something over him. Hector completely dismisses this theory. Hector wants to keep viewing Ravi as a temptress who lured his father & destroyed his family. He refuses to hold his father completely accountable for his actions. Yet, later on Hector holds the threat of deportation over Omid's head if he didn't return to him, ironic much. Hector literally became his father
