There's a lot of similar looking Metroidvanias coming up, though it's not necessarily a complaint. Especially when you the quality of sprite art that games like TimeSpinner, Heart Forth, Alicia or CHASM are sporting. FINALLY indie devs seem to regularly be moving past that "Atari chunk" minimalist style and actually giving 16-bit gems a run for their money :)

Have you heard of _The Siege and the Sandfox_, btw? That's another one to keep an eye with absolutely stunning pixel art, though unlike straight action games, it's actually a stealth title.

Another great list. Oddly, the game “Cultist Simulator” caught my eye because of its theme, as I’ve been watching “The Path” on Hulu recently. Interesting drama series about a cult, with Aaron Paul (Jesse from Breaking Bad) playing one of the central characters.

Several on this list have been “baking in the oven” for quite a while — such as Eitr, Heart Forth Alicia, and Chasm. Hoping that these ultimately live up to their promise. Also lots of others on this list I haven’t noticed previously - several of those seem interesting as well.
