@Gabswim they have a long pole with like 30 gopro's on it that all film at the same time!!! you can see it in GoPro's X-games photo album on facebook :)

No. Actually its a contraption that you put about 15 cameras in, they snap a picture by control, and when editing that part, in the mini frames were you would see black outs to the next picture were edited out.

@Gabswim I think that they did it with like 10 or so photo cameras, it's just a sequence of several pictures at the same time.

@smoothness7117 they put about 40 go pros mounted on a rail system and it swivels so it looks still 360. its used in alot of 3D effect editing and videography

My Guess is that they had multiple cameras set up at different angles. then they just composisted the different shots into after effects or other software that created somehow like a panoramic effect.

That's probably most likely how they did it.

@Mrskiervids o it is a vented helmet strap mount. You can see the tiny elastic strip going across his board in the beginning

@Alexisbadawi pretty sure u need several cameras at different angles, all shooting photo or video at the some time, then stopmotion them together when editing

@Travace They might have not used any of the mounts or protective cases. Some strong 3m double sided tape would hold the camera to the board just fine.

Effect at 0:49 i think its called "matrix" for that you need like 30 cameras in a row shooting the scene, later edditing it you get this effect, shot moves from the first camera to the last, and you have the feeling of time freeze, its called "camera array"

@WesterMusic 8-10 gopros next to each other and they change the source of the video to create the effect of rottating around an object. check out ken block's gymkhana 4 - you can see the effect there and the arrangement of the cameras in the end of the video

@Gabswim you can do the same effect with a high fps (like 1000fps) camera on a rotateable angle as well (look at nike chosen surf crew FUS, they have kind of the same effect in their video)
