State runs a little more than you're presenting here, and they're a little better than you're thinking, as per your critique that their competition hasn't been great, but good luck. I think Marquette and Duke played badly because of State's guard play, not just because they had bad shooting days. It's not going to be a Burns vs Eady, winner takes it situation. I agree that Burns might get as little as 8-10 points, but if he gets 10 points and 8 assists and Mo Diarra gets 13 rebounds, State will be dangerous. State's guard play, especially perimeter defense, might be better at the moment than Purdue's. Burns will get into some foul problems and might not play more than 25 minutes, but Diarra and Middlebrooks can be tough.

There is NO comparison between Igadaro, Filipowski and Edey. If anyonee thinks Burns is going to push Edey around that's just dumb. Plus Edey has at least a 16" reach on him. Actually I don't think they will even be guarding each other. I think Purdue might start with TKR on him in order to protect Edey. I don't think they will put Burns on Edey anyway. I will be shocked if PU does not run P&R against whomever Burns is guarded. They are a million X better than it that MQ or Duke. You can get around Igadaro but trying to get around Edey is a total different story. I am guess since Burns cannot move fast enough to defend this, the NCS guards will go under and take their chances that Smith and Loyer are not hitting. We'll see what happens.
