Going over a light I've been using called the Foursevens Maelstrom MMU-X3. This thing can spit out 1600 lumens on hi or 200 lumens on low. More specs on this light here:

Very cool! I wouldn't make a habit of carrying that thing around. But that would be a great unit to keep in the car for emergencies, at least for me.

Prolly have to get a smaller one to carry and move that one to the glovebox or bedside... I've found being hear in Texas with the extremes of both summer and winter weather that it's just easier to make a rotation in what I carry for the diffrent seasons rather than try to find tools that work for both climates.

In the car I keep a couple cheapy Wal-Mart lights that have a flashlight end and light up like a simulated flare look that have multifunction options they also have a whistle on one end and run off watch type flat batteries. They haven't faild yet after a couple yrs and I check them about every 4 months. I also keep glow sticks as a backup. I personally am not big on leaving anything of much value in my car...

I had the predecessor to that Light. I believe it was 200 on low and 850 on high. It was a decent light. But the version I had, had a proprietorial battery pacifically made by four sevens. Which wasn't really a problem because the batteries were cheap enough. But in the end the light just wasn't useful to me. For some of the reasons the other people stated to you. Never had a problem with the size of it. More or less it was the company in general. If you look at some of my older videos. I think one time I had around 16 of their lights. I had a bad customer service experience with them. One of my lights fell to the ground and the headlamp broke and dented. The dent was on the threads of the head so you couldn't operate the interface. I sent it in they fixed it and quickly returned it. The only thing I had a problem with was The light was pretty much New. They replaced it with a used LED that probably had a lot of use on it. I called them up and they said they replaced all their parts with stuff that they have lying around from other returns. That didn't impress me too much so I kind of stopped investing in their company.

Nice vid I am looking for a new EDC light, funny when you busted out the older SureFires (laser products) I have an older 6P and an E2E as well and the young guys make fun and talk about how much better the LED technology is but they don't understand back in the 90's those Surefires were the shiznit I am looking at the Thrunite TN12 (2014) over a thousand lumens for under 50 bucks maybe I will do a video.
