Thank you! I home-school my 5-year-old grandson. He loves reading and reading at the 1st-grade level. But he's not so excited about math. I'd forgotten about how simple card games can be so helpful for learning.

I know this game as "ten frame flip"... I take out the Jack, Queen, King and jokers.... My kiddos LOVE it! Taking a deck of cards to restaurants are a great way of getting extra practice during wait times...

Love it! Fast paced, easy, and fun! Thanks so much for sharing! A way to make it harder is to use counting by 10's, 5's, 2's cards, (you would have to make along with some "trash" cards) or, use with addition/subtraction flash cards with the sums being 1-10. Or... make base 10 cards for the numbers 11-20, etc. The concept is the same, just the skill changes making easy differentiation (and maybe a little prep work on your part!)

Love these videos, but especially the math games. I am going to pull this out for my first grade intervention group (I am an interventionist for K-3) in the days between now and break. They are going to love it.
