Pro Tip.. Turn off sticky keys... One of the first things to do after installing Windows.

"launcher", "DRM" and "account". Magic words for saving me 50 bucks.

Despite being an old game, the art direction in RDR is so good that it holds up incredibly well, even after 14 years. I finally played it for the first time and just finished the game yesterday, having only played RDR2 before, aaaand FOLKS, it's been an amazing journey!

I'll be honest., the only thing I wish you did in this review was compare the PC version to the original Xbox 360 or PS3 release. Just to demonstrate how far this game has come since the original game out.

No multiplayer is a real bummer.
And for that price it is definitely better to wait for a sale and for modders to do their thing.

Sticky keys is something you turn off the first time it pops up.

There's an option for automatically running with the horse without mashing the shift key, is the keybindings menu, it's called "hold shift for vehicles" or something like that, it works for stagecoaches and horses alike though.

Why is Alex making a thing about sticky key? One of the first things I do everytime I format my PC is to disable that.

Now I'm curious how it performs on the OG Steam Deck, but $50 is ridiculous compared to say Tomb Raider 1-3 Remastered

i ACTUALLY played RDR original release on a CRT TV. we only had one Full HD TV on our houses back in the day and of course it wasn't in the kids bedroom. simpler and better times

2:45 left shift was used in RDR2.. they ported all key mapping from RDR2 to RDR
3:35 if you have Vsync on and tripple buffering and monitor set more than 144hz.. game will go over 144fps cap to monitor refresh rate
