My wife and I go to the village. We were there in person when Matt explained what happened. The relationship was flagged for “frequency & familiarity” with the woman that was inappropriate. There was also “course joking” as well. The elders pulled no punches and did exactly what the scripture teaches. Matt stepped up and did a really tough thing coming clean and in front of his family and wife no less. We have to be really careful not letting the media twist what it wants, as we know the world isn’t fond of Christians and is always waiting to point the fingers at us. ❤️🙏🏻

I feel... as i am currently fighting a war in my life. That the guilt is a very important part in this. Every person has the right to repent and have an opportunity to be humbled. This man was humbled!

I think the best course of action is to not converse in anyway with a member of the opposite sex without your spouse present. It just shows respect and squashes any doubt of what may be going on.

Regardless, I am happy to see somebody own up to their actions. With humility, respect, and without self pride. That is more than many would do themselves.

“What did he do?”

According to what’s been reported…nothing.

He had a friendship with a woman. Her husband knew, his wife knew. Basically they were friend couples. Nothing was sexual or romantic.

The woman showed their DMs to a Karen and she complained so the elders had to do damage control.

It goes to show that men don’t have to actually do anything wrong. If a woman’s offended, he’s guilty. I’m not even a fan of Chandler but this whole situation was ridiculous.

The world has such low standards that when something is less than smut we are surprised. This is a mature church and a mature Christian and this is the Bible lived out

Adultery does not have to be physical. Jesus said, “ …but I say to you that whoever looks at a woman to lust after her, has committed adultery with her already in his heart….”’

Conviction hits everyone differently. Hopefully his heart is in the right place and he is sincerely following the Fathers will.

I go to this church since 2006 and all I can say, is the word of God will not fail. If something is hidden in darkness, it will eventually come to the light. If something was hidden, it cannot stay hidden forever, the fruit of what happened will eventually show. There will either be a large amount of people saved by the power of the Holy Spirit at our church, or if things are not done right and are not seeking God, then it will fail and die, it will not go forward because only GOD and His word remains.
I feel a pain in my heart about it personally still. Only the Lord knows the actual details. I do not.

This is the second video by you that I have watched. Bless you as you help others to understand our/others journey. I have to say that my feelings have paralleled yours almost 💯%! I feel I have found a real brother in Christ.

The church elders did what they did and it was appropriate. Whatever happened isn't our business. It was handled and all is well.

3 months… there is something extremely wrong with this. True humility would’ve been to walk away and allow God to work in his heart by being accountable to Godly men through Biblical discipleship for at least 12 months. Instead of that, he has come back after 12 weeks and has been put into a position of discipling others when at the moment he is the one that needs to be discipled. It is ungodly and it is completely and utterly wrong!

Going to watch the video. But my question off thr rip is " too soon? " when I fell in my ministry it took me YEARS to come back. I built my relationship with God and it changed everything. But it took time. Just my first thought. Nothing but love to Matt. I know its not a " sexual " thing yet it's only been 4 months. He needs more healing. Don't push the healing process.

I believe they handle this with God's Mercy and Grace. It sounds like he repented and did the work. After King David committed adultery and murder God restored him. Now if he does it again then that a whole another discussion. We have to continue to pray 🙏🏿🙏🏽🙏🏻 for our Pastor's and brothers and sisters in Christ and not be so quick to cancel them. Praying for the restoration for this church and members✝️🛐

The issue that he'd dealt with wasn't that extreme but he still kinda decided to be unwise which is quite concerning for a pastor but i pray that God will offer him rest and comfort him Amen

Getting caught isn’t the same thing as godly sorrow that leads to repentance!

That is a man that walks by carnality and not by the power of the Holy Spirit. So few know how to be actual Christians nowadays. It’s really sad.

We are not to judge for we have flaws and mistakes. If Jesus Christ can forgive him then we should. He must turn away from his sins and repent.
