Joker Out & Elvis Costello - New Wave (Official Video)

Joker Out and Elvis Costello present: New Wave. This song is an intergenerational call to join the carnival of positive change in a world that is seemingly crumbling around us. An unlikely collaboration between representatives of the original New Wave, Elvis, and the new New Wave, Joker Out, which arose from their mutual respect and inspiration. But who is better suited to join musical forces, than the legend who appears in Austin Powers and the band which named their sound "Shagadelic Rock n Roll" after that same movie? It was written in the stars.

The music video was recorded long distance with Elvis in the USA and Joker Out in Liverpool, Elvis' home town and the city of Eurovision 2023 where they will be representing Slovenia in the second semi final.

Listening to people singing in their native language is always much more powerful, even if you don't speak that language yourself. I love the English part obviously, because i understand it, but the Slovenian part in the end brings me chills! Such a beautiful language you have people, this phrase, "novi val", sounds like water!

I understand that the English version reaches the audience better, but for me the Slovenian version speaks to me more because of the Slovenian language, but I was touched when a part of the song was performed in Slovenian at the end
