Blue Boy is a pseudonym for the Scottish DJ, Alexis 'Lex' Blackmore.
The single Remember Me peaked at #8 in the UK Singles Chart in February 1997. The single also went to number two on the American dance chart.
The track is built around two samples from the 1973 live version of "Woman of the Ghetto", a 1969 soul song by Marlena Shaw, originally recorded for her album The Spice of Life. Near the end is the line: "Remember me? I'm the one who had your babies", in reference to African-American maids raising white children for little pay.

This song has been living rent free in my head almost 30 years. And I’m fine with that.

I was 17 in 1997 having fun with my high school friends on a day trip to Mont St Michel, France. This song played on the radio. I said "I loved this tune" and the coolest dude of the class replied "me too" with a smile. One of the best days of my life.

Met this british woman back in 97, I remember she used to play this song, got stuck on me to this very day, damn it ... I honestly loved that woman, sadly it did not become anything. I often wonder how she is doing, hope she got a nice life, family and so on ... wish the best on her.

When you stumble upon a song that you haven’t heard in 25 years, and it brings you back to that moment in time that you forgot and reminisce fondly.

The other day I was on my way home and a girl behind me was playing this song on her phone and really, really feeling it. She almost started to dance in the middle of the street. It made me so happy.
I had never listened to this song before, and forgot about it until today, that YouTube recommended it to me. I wish I was more mystical so I could talk about the universe sending me signs through music and stuff, but honestly, all that came to mind was google spying me through my phone. I hate this dystopian era.
I really enjoyed the song, though.

I got tired of all these rappers from today. This is real music for the soul and now I am sitting here, waiking up to Blue Boy
