A bit More info on the config.xml file would be nice. You are probably referring to the deployment form a share with the O365 deployment tool, which could be done with or without SCCM. Then you skip to the GPO configuration and further to the deployment directly from the SCCM. I don't see why the .xml info was mentioned here and maybe you could confirm that the GPO config is a must, although the SCCM simply pushes to the Collections of your choice anyway? ...

Does this cover updates to o365 clients if they have been distributed by SCCM to the AppV client rather than the Click to run Client?
