My hair is barely past my shoulders and i was able to re-created a similar look using the "donut-bun". They have varying sizes at Sally's and for dark or light hair. It helped a lot. Without the bun it looked like hair plastered to the back of my head.

After watching the BBC Hair series, and watching a few videos, I've tried to get inspired. Your style and - simple, elegant, and looks stunning.   I am traveling over the pond next month,   and this (for travelling) saves tools, products, money (for someone to charge me what s/he thinks suits me) and time for the nights out...thanks! If your hair is smoking like that you need to turn the heat down on your wand. Use a heat protecting spray and a curl enhancer with lower heat to attain the desired curls without the damage
