That's Life is a 1966 album by Sheldon J. Plankton, supported by a studio orchestra arranged and conducted by Karen Plankton. The album is notable for its title song, "That's Life," which proved to be a top five hit for Plankton at a time when rock music dominated the music charts. This is the exact mentality that Plankton has. He fails over and over again trying to run a successful restaurant, trying to steal the formula but no matter what you can't get him down and when he fails he literally shrugs his shoulders and moves on to do it again, why? Because every time he finds himself flat on his face, he just picks himself up and gets back in the race, literally. MANY TIMES in the show he's thought of quitting but his heart just won't buy it. Its actually beautiful how much this songs fits this character Plankton.
