We created our People Colors® Crayons over 30 years ago. We did it because we wanted to help all kids see themselves in their art. The idea came from a teacher who said she wished her students had crayons that matched their skin tones. We heard her and got to work, with a mission of creating crayons that were for belonging, not just drawing. Here’s the story of how we developed People Colors Crayons and other art materials that celebrate diversity. ✋🏻 ✋🏼 ✋🏽 ✋🏾 ✋🏿

I remember as a child we didn’t have those People Colors, a dark skinned person was either the color black or dark brown. Congrats on a purposeful product
