A short overview of our music machine "physharmonica / p2".
The physharmonica is a computer-controlled accordion-like instrument, driven by several solenoids, servo- and stepper motors. It can play highly energetic polyphonic music. All stops, wind flow, and tremulants can be controlled continuously.
The whole system is controlled by an Arduino micro-controller and accessed via MIDI with Ableton Live. This instrument is developed and built in cooperation with instrument-builder Gerhard Kern.
