What a nice sight to see two kids enthusiastically making compost. We need kids of that kind for the survival of our mother nature .Thanks for sharing your knowledge which included novel ideas about composting.

Just what I needed! My compost hasn't been doing well and I realized I need to put more brown on the top! This is the best explanation I've seen - very clear.

For eggshells I bake mine for 10 minutes @ 250 degrees then turn to powder in a coffee grinder. It helps avoid the rotten egg smell also eggs do have salmonella and that’s avoided by baking the shells.

Great video! Thank you for simplifying the process with your step by-step instructions. I especially liked the part on thermometer usage and when to turn the material. I’ve watched a few other videos and not one of them talked about this process in detail. Two thumbs up!

Hi Angela, You explained this really well 👍,
I've been Gardening for 50 years and I'm a retired florist. I started a YouTube channel in September.
Peggy Helbling's Garden What You've Got. That said, I've been watching a lot of other channels and I notice what works and which ones hurt my ears 👂. Yours is pitch perfect and you set up the lesson simple and effective. I immediately subscribed.

Thank you sooo MUCH for this video! I just started composing myself and I’m at the pint of way too many bugs and I’m definitely not using enough browns. I’m going to buy some more bins and dump what I’ve got to separate. Thank you again for this clear and concise video

Shrimp shells and egg shells are awesome for composting. So are fish guts and bones. They add potassium and magnesium as well as calcium.
