About the Artist
"I am interested in the intersections of music, art and mathematics which are woven and re-woven into my collage paintings, works on paper and installations. My lifelong formal study of music is always present in terms of the visual intervals, gestural lines and patterned shapes that appear in my work. Physical engagement and a sense of performance, such as printing with pigmented wax on my hotbox and tearing collage papers that I've drawn are part of my studio practice. The concept of life’s impermanence allows for experimentation with materials and results in my work appearing on a continuum between the geometric and organic."
