Beauty standards come and go. Changing yourself to fit them shouldn't be our approach.

Don't be insecure about what makes you beautiful ❤

The fact people went to extreme measures to meet up with beauty standards, both then and now, is just truly heartbreaking💔😢

Yes, Queen Elizabeth I had a big forehead ( as claimed )
During the Middle Ages in Europe, a big forehead was not only considered a symbol of beauty but also of intelligence and wisdom !

This was based on the belief that the forehead was the seat of the soul and the center of intelligence as well ( not proven by Science )

In medieval times, a high and broad forehead was seen as a sign of intelligence, wisdom, and beauty. A larger forehead was thought to indicate a larger brain, which was believed to be a sign of greater intelligence.

A high forehead was considered a beauty standard, as it was seen as a sign of refinement, elegance, and nobility.

Edit:
This beauty standard was prevalent among the nobility and upper classes, as a big forehead was seen as a sign of refinement and elegance.

Edit: this particular standard was not universal tho

Edit : Also, many artists were commissioned to make the foreheads of the noble look bigger than irl

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. You could have a big nose, small eyes, teeth that sit crooked, a shy smile, even a big forehead, and you’re still gorgeous/handsome. God didn’t make a mistake, he made a beautiful, strong, courageous person. And hey, I think you look great. So stop following beauty standards, stop telling yourself those things. He loves you. We all do 🩷🩷

It proves that you're not ugly, you're just born in the different time line.

Beauty Standards change but one thing remains the same: they're made (and reinforced) by rich people.

Don’t be insecure about your features. I bet your ancestors would be so happy to see them in you. Remember, there’s been a time in this world we’re your insecurity was(is) the most beautiful thing you could have.

This is a wonderful reminder because we were all the beauty standard at one point in time

"Hello there beauty, your forehead reflects our future together." Has to be the best pickup line for this.

Beauty always is equal, it's just the beauty standards that change🙂 all we gotta do is believe in our beauty and accept people who think of beauty as trends😘

Always remember that the stuff that you are insecure about right now may have been the beauty standard in another time.

Beauty standards have existed since time immemorial, and contradict themselves often, while poor women of every timeline suffer. Its high time we get rid of these.

Btw love your videos Mae!!

Beauty is truly in the eye of the beholder. Time and realms can change but not this statement.
