I love how this accurately portrays the Huns. Shan Yu didn’t care Mulan was a female as Huns actually respected women. All he saw was the soldier that stopped his hoard on the mountain.

Something genuinely funny about the main villain being the only one who didn't care at all that Mulan was a woman. He didn't question it and just immediately accepted this was the soldier that wiped out nearly his entire army and took away what looked like a decisive victory on that mountain.
