New Eruption Begins At Kilauea Volcano (Dec. 21, 2020)

The first eruption in over two years has commenced within the Kīlauea volcano summit caldera. The situation is rapidly evolving and officials say they will issue another statement when more information is available.

I hope that nothing major happens like a huge earthquake that causes a landslide that generates a big tsunami for Hawaii. Because all this lava that’s hitting the ocean water at the bottom of the caldera could trigger something.
