This shape is very common among Hindu Culture it's common as "Dwaj" . Nepali dwaj is unique as it consists of 2 simultaneous triangles instead of 1 which is commonly used.

2 triangles represent Buddhism and Hinduism
Also represents Himalayas.

Putting a mirror at the side of the flag closest to the flagpole will generate an image of a pagoda temple. ( Pashupati nath temple for example)
