Why did lyla and Nixie leave 'Mako Mermaids'

I liked their characters, they disappeared out of no where and the show doesn't feel the same, it's just dumb.

I can't believe their weak excuse as to why the two left was because they gave up on helping Zac and decided to go looking for a new home for the pod. I mean, not surprised by that from Nixie's character, but Lyla? Who I feel clearly had feelings for Zac? I was excited to see something blossom there. At least we have Serina.... Oh.. Wait..

Im upset because this is the first time watching the show for me (Im watching it on Netflix) and Im starting season 2 and these kinds of things always piss me off. Dont join a show if you can not commit to it. Sure, you cant know for sure if another role is going to open up for you, and you cant know if something will happen in your life but still. It pisses me off.

I felt so unhappy when Nixie and Lyla left. All 4 seasons would have been ace with them.
And it was unfair to leave Sirena to try and stop Zac after everything they had been through together. It was so annoying when they left. They should have either stayed for all of it or not be in it in the first place.

I watched season one and then BAM Lyla and Nixie are gone in season two me and my sister were like WHERE DID LYLA AND NIXIE GO

I've started to watch this awesome show (wow I'm reallyy late lol) and I'm HOOKED. Now Im going onto season two. I thought where is Nixie and Lyla, I was also really confused so I watched three of the last episodes in season one to see if missed anything which was weird BC whenever I watched season one, I never took my eyes off of the screen and was always focused. I also thought maybe there just gone for one or two episodes as four episodes past I just couldn't go on with the show not knowing where Nixie and Lyla was. I just stopped watcging the episode I was on to figure out where Nixie and Layla went. Wow one of the first shows that was actually interesting and good, to bad the characters never stated😥sad just really sad

I was so confused to see in season 2 that the characters weren't the same. I went back to season 1 to see if I had missed something but there was nothing. They all seemed so normal at the end of the last episode so I was really confused. Now I'm here finding out they left sirenna to find a new pod??

When season 2 started the show didn’t feel right anymore and dixie was my favourite character sure she might of betrayed the others but i understand i loved dixie :(

They left irl because of another show they were going into, same thing with H2O, The girl who played Emma, and mysteriously left the next episode was because she was going into a new show and all of them couldn’t stay in the “Mermaid” show they were in

I was a big fan of Lyla and Nixie but never found out why they left!! I wanna know why!! Lyla and Zac had a connection too but they just disappeared out of no where!!😭😭

I want to sue Netflix for not making sure the actors continue in all the seasons. They need to think about the fans. The people that watch this ! We need respect wtf.

The real reason Lyla had to leave the series is because she had to cast in another show called “Vampire Academy” but I didn’t really research where Nixie went.

I just started watching Season 2 and I’m VERY disappointed that Lyla and Nixie left. It’s a very weak excuse they made up that Nixie and Lyla went into another Pod. They would never leave Sirena behind! Anyways, I hope they comeback in Season 3 or 4.. because I’ll be very disappointed if they don’t. 😭😕
