At his Super Bowl halftime performance they came to Prince and said “we have some bad news, it is going to be raining”. Prince was quite for a moment and replied “can you make it rain harder”. His performance is considered one of the best halftime performances ever, if not the best.

This is a scene from the end of a movie (Purple Rain), which explains most of that scene. The song was actually performed live on that stage for the album. Prince not only wrote all his own material, he also wrote a dozen hits for other artists that he never even performed on his own records.
One of the most iconic Prince moments on video is when he played the guitar solo at the end of "When My Guitar Gently Weeps" in tribute to George Harrison of the Beatles in 2004. Easy to find on YouTube, includes Tom Petty and other rock stars as well.

Can he play guitar?? He can, yes. Electric guitar, acoustic guitar & bass guitar. He also plays piano, synthesizers, and a whole bunch of other instruments in which I'd include that voice! ( youd have to look up everything he plays). He writes & arranges. Hes written so many hit songs for other artists, , it's shocking.
