Dead about to do this to every pullover I have. And will continue to do it to every pullover I buy. Not enough zipups in this world

Just finished my 2nd hoodie transformation and it could not have gone better. I'm talking 2 pullovers I never put on because they were PITAs. Thanks for this I have a lot more to go. I wish I could give it more than 1 thumbs up!

Please don't do it this way. You should put the zipper on the right side, right sides together, sew it on. then fold it over and top stitch it so you don't have a raw edge. this looks so bad and is going to fray after the 1st wash

I think this is really great cuz I have ALOT OF HOODIES. It gets freezing where I live, but I feel like I’m constantly taking them in and off and it gets really annoying. So I want to put them to better use and sew zippers into all of them to make my life easier.

I don't know if it's possible, but I would want to have some kind of overlock stitching at the edge of where the thick hoodie garment was cut to keep that edge from eventually fraying & fuzzing up. Maybe even some kind of cloth glue, or some of that fusible cloth, or 3M water protector. I wouldn't want to have to fold some of that over. I have 3 pullover hoodies I want to convert to zipper but at the same time I don't want to shorten the width of the hoodie where the zipper will be because there is some design & lettering on the front which I would ideally like to keep as continuous as possible. It's hard to explain.

Thanks for your video. I cannot wear one of my favorite sweatshirts because of arthritis in my shoulders. Now I can convert it and wear it again. 👍

Hmmm. I going to try. I just learned to sew a full body hoodie, but hoodie is as little off the middle. So maybe I could transform it to a zipper hoodie it will be Less noticeable I messed up. . Thanks for this idea!

I question cutting it afer putting in the zipper. As said, raw edges will fray after wear and washing. I do like the interfacing suggestion to hold in place.

Explained very well, nice method! Too hard to find camo hoodies that aren't pullover.

Okay I understand everything except I don't get the part about the hood itself. Can someone share an inside out picture of the hood seam please?

What if the hoodie has a high quality embroidery on the front? Any tips?

I have a hoodie I love, but I kinda outgrew it. I’m going to do this.

Wanted to do this except I wanted to put zippers on both of the sleeves, like Byleth's jacket from FE:TH. Don't question why, I have y reasons lmao
