The scene in Stan's mind is what I secretly imagine happening inside my Minecraft worlds when I delete them.

Stan is just sitting there while Bill is having a complete meltdown

I think what’s interesting is that Bill refers to all the humans by an associated symbol or object (Dipper = Pine Tree, Mabel = Shooting Star) its a simple way of showing he doesn’t see them as people, but as mere tools to use and abuse.

Except for Ford, who was instrumental to his plans, and now Stanley who proved himself as a worthy opponent.

0:28 you can see that Stanley’s (Stanford in disguise) hands have 6 fingers.

Alex Hirsch was really detailed when it came to the show.

Ford's expression after he lowers the memory gun is heartbreaking. He's finally realizing what he just lost.

The scene where bill is defeated is one of my favorite scenes in all of fiction. The fact that bill is defeated not because he was defeated in a battle but because he was outsmarted by his enemies. He was so eager to get into fords mind that he didn’t even think twice bout the idea that ford may be lying. When he realizes that he entered Stan’s mind and starts getting erased, he panics and breaks down. Stan tells him that his death is no one’s fault that his own and that he’s accepted his own fate. He knows his mind will be erased but this sacrifice is worth it not just for killing the biggest threat to the world, but keeping his family safe.

We all know this show got real dark sometimes, but the fact that Bill was about 2 seconds away from murdering one of the Pines kids haunts me to this day

At 3:19 you can see the nightmare portal reflecting into Stanley's glases, it shapes like an X crossing Stan's eyes which symbolizes the blind eye. I'm surprised no one noticed this.

1:04 See how scared stanley is? Cuz he never made a deal with bill and he did not expect this.

I love the little details that clue you in to the twin switch long before Bill figures it out. Like the obvious one, “Stanley” suddenly having twelve fingers, but also little things like “Stan” suddenly having a cleft chin and “Ford” suddenly having one-tone hair and a smooth chin.
But more specifically it makes me really love and appreciate the fact that Ford is visibly much more distressed and apprehensive about this situation than Stan is.

When it really came down to it, Ford didn’t even remotely want to go through with the plan, didn’t want to completely erase his brother’s identity. He was ready to give up his own and would have done that had it been possible. But Stanley made up his mind. He shows no fear (up until Bill actually does go into his mind) and is fully committed to giving up his identity if it means stopping Bill. He barely even thinks anything of it. “It’s not like I was usin’ the space for much anyway.” And he even gets to punch a dream demon in the eyeball!
Anyone who says Stanley Pines is a selfish moocher is just flat-out wrong. And I’m glad Ford was finally able to see that, even before it mattered.

2:00, Absolutely love how bill trie's buy out a man with pridefully greedy goal's but stanley deep in his heart isn't effected by it one bit.

I think Bill Cipher's death might be the best example of how to make a villain death cathartic. He got thwarted a few times yeah, but he was a consistently terrifying and dangerous foe, and oh so hateable, always acting so smug.

So seeing him not die instantly, but be given just enough time for him to realize he was about to be obliterated, and to panic and struggle and scream for mercy, was BEAUTIFUL to witness.

I love how Stan gets a last minute ironic dig in against Bill by calling himself an idiot whose mind isn’t worth saving since Bill thinks he’s smarter than everyone and is constantly calling everyone around him an idiot.

i like how every single form that bill tries to take immediately crumbles or deforms in some way

Bill Cipher. A triangle shaped entity with a top hat that can distort reality. His only true weakness? Mind tricks.

I love how Bill tries so hard to reason with Stanley. I wonder if he relaizes that he was doomed the minute he went in Stan's mind. "I'll give you anything, " he says, but even if Stan was interested in any of those things, he's powerlessly trapped in his own mind too. He can't tell Ford to call it off, or help Bill escape. No matter what, the minute the deal was made, they were both trapped and doomed.

I’m proud of what Ford did by erasing Stan’s mind with Bill inside it and it really worked

The part that hit home very much; was when Stan holds the picture says his last words...
The old loser was a real hero and he proved it to us all.
