Coach! I've been hitting it hard this year and simplified my diet and do way more cardio mostly steady state and I've lost over 13 percent bf this year 200 pounds total weightloss since graduation and for the first time since I was a teenager I'm starting to feel good when I look in the mirror. HTLT!!!

Realistically 30 days is a very short amount of time to gain significant strength that too for competing in powerlifting competition even if you have your diet, sleep and everything else on point 100%. Jesse should try this again with atleast 60(or 90) days schedule

I think that makes perfect sense! Dude literally ruined all his training by trying to test his max before the comp...also it's crazy slot of these guys asking coach Greg for input...I'm being spoiled by just subscribing for all this free info.

1 month out you should be doing
week 1 @6 single
week 2 @7 single
week 3 @8 single
week 4 @9 single
(also accessories should be between @6-7 since you dont wanna tire the muscle)
to adapt the body and the mind to lifting 1 rep and to not be scared of the weight
if u have more than 1 month of prep you should do blocks of more than 1 rep top sets to gain strength

For my first meet i also had trouble gaining weight. I lost about 6 lbs a few weeks before meet so i had to literally stop walking and eat and extra sandwich. I came in at the bottom of my weight class but i finished second!!!

Personally I feel for Jesse, I can eat and eat to the point where I almost throw up, and make sure it's calorie dense foods, yet I still don't gan wait. This is due to my appetite, I'm not able to force myself to eat as much as someone else and I get full much easier.

I’d always hit my something close to my opener about 10 days out then totally shut it down 7 days out. Going as hard as he did 5 days out is a rookie move.

In powerlifting.. even he getting stronger but not gaining weight that’s good for DOTs etc points.
