8:00 Apple actually already announced that the separation notification feature will be coming to ALL Apple devices upon release of iOS 15.

That security thing regarding Apple straight up telling you what app is using, for instance, the microphone at what point and what website an app is communicating with? Man, that's a _good_ feature. I really hope Google adopts something similar into Android at some point, but as we all know - Google really loves gathering and using your information. So, I guess that's not gonna happen anytime soon for us Android users. 😅

15:39 I'm definitely with Chaz here. Why you would keep a hundred tabs open that slow your PC down is beyond me. Just bookmark them for later.
With that being said, the Chrome app on mobile has tab groups and it's very much a godsend for when you need multiple guides for a game for example.

My favorite WWDC (2007 i think) was the one where Steve Jobs tells Bill Gates that him creating iTunes is like giving people in hell icewater. And I died that moment. Steve was a god.

Whilst the additions to iPadOS are nice, I do feel like they aren’t truly believing that an iPad can replace a Mac before they put their pro apps on it and make a fully thought out file system. Certainly the M1 variants now should be able to run the pro apps now, and before that happens, you would need a Mac anyway if you are a “pro” user. Personally I would ideally in the future have a desktop Mac for heavy duty development stuff, and an iPad Pro for on the go work, but so far that wouldn’t be possible.

That being said, they’re moving in the right direction. I just feel Apple is moving at a snail’s pace with iPad software – nowhere close to the pace they’re moving with iPad hardware

Oh wow, I have do not disturb on 100% of the time just so I get to choose when I interact with my phone and notifications. My friends would hate me if they got a notice every time they tried to text me.

I've been dying for some sort of "shuffle background" option on my iPhone, like most PCs/Macs (and probably Android phones) have. I have too many images I'd like to have as backgrounds, but I don't particularly care to manually go in and swap them out periodically.

I think the one thing I kinda would've liked (assuming it wouldn't have been too much extra effort) is to have some relevant clips from the event itself playing at times when you're talking about stuff, instead of just watching the two of you talk.

This event was so boring to me and my usual gaggle of idiots that no one could stay on topic. Some drifted into mocking the appearances of some of the presenters, and it just got me mad.

I was already upset that all they were doing was announcing stuff other apps already had (especially the Discord-like features for FaceTime and Message), and that just made me regret wanting to stream the whole thing.

It wasn't even interesting enough for us to mock. And that frustrates me.
