Man, this whole situation is so wrong. She should not be alone with all this. She should have extra support for raising two kids alone, all three of them grieving, money is tight... there are probably 1000 small things a day making her life difficult, and it took a lawncare geek like you to come along and make a change. You didn't even know her and you had eyes to see that this woman needs help. We are Herd animals we as a species never lived all alone, except the last 150ish years! I am so glad you're doing this. You remind me of Ben at Flawless Cleaning... he started out pressure washing people's drives and patios for free and then branched out into full garden clearances. Now, with his dad and his uncle (who's a builder), he's doing kitchen and bathroom renovations, roofing and even building extensions!

There's not a ton of trash all over and I see a lady that cares about her kids and living environment.
