You could literally buy a $250 freezer, a $400 generator, stick both in the back of your truck and have a much better setup for half the price. Or you simply use the unplugged freezer at a cooler. Fill it with ice and you're good to go all the way home as well.

Did that. A 3.5 cu ft chest freezer in the back of my truck. A 2500w inverter, dual alternator setup. I can go camping with a freezer full of steaks, burgers, ice cream, and my fridge in the camper running on 110v, NOT on propane.
Total consumption - around 400 watts, but when the fridge and freezer kick in, consumption spikes to around 1200 watts.

He is so right been elk and moose and deer hunting since I was 4 I'm 33 years old a old deep freezer and tie downs work amazing if it don't run put 4 bags of ice in it amazing and if it does run just plug it in with a generator with 2 bags of ice supper easy dum investment and this guy and I know what we are talking about

I have a freezer in our barn that I bought several years ago to do just that and we use it for camping and hunting and just going up to the mountain property and working for a weekend. Great tip. But now Home Depot is gonna up the price of those freezers to $1200... ya know. "Just to save you $57 cause we care."

Yep some buddies and I went to Wyoming for antelope last year for our 40th birthday. I took my small chest freezer and a generator. Worked awesome.
