The extender ia actually a concave lens which increases focal length and if focal length is increased the magnification goes high

will this work on a 'Kowa TSN-823 82mm Fluorite' model, a bit of an older bit of gear with TSE-Z7 20-60X eyepiece

I bought a TSN-880 with the TSN-EX16 extender, and I CANNOT get the scope collar off so that I can install the extender. Was it just installed too tightly? I obviously don't want to damage the scope by using some tool to try to remove it. Help, (And yes, I am trying to unscrew it anticlockwise, as shown in this video.)
