For anyone wondering why he didn’t include the shambles or rat king, the shambles were a variation of the bloater that would mainly grow in more moist climates. The rat king on the other hand is a very special instance as it’s one of the only infected instances that still remains from the initial outbreak, and since it originated from a hospital, specifically the trauma center where they put a lot of the infected from the initial chaos of the outbreak, it was able to become an amalgamation of the virus and all four forms. Also, both forms were only featured in the second game, which mostly took place in Seattle, but the show mainly focuses on the first game and story.

The stalkers remain my favorite infected in the games. The way they play hide and seek and pray on you instead of just charging at you, it's terrifying and amazing

Not only did the show make stalkers WAYYYY more terrifying they are also IMO the “final form” the apex infected, boomers are scary yea but fire is just too much of weakness for them to be the most powerful
