In over 500 stolen base attempts from my first year in college to my last year in pro ball - I've learned things that were CRUCIAL about stealing bases that I feel are often getting overlooked now.

Your LEAD is EVERYTHING.

Even if you're an average runner - GET MORE.

If you aren't getting dirty when they pick over (even if you aren't stealing) - your lead isn't aggressive enough.
