ok so while at the show i think we met a witch and this particular witch used their magic powers to create a company that uses silicone in a suspension fluid to produce prints that require zero post processing are flexible and force my (with his magic) to put my hands in the goo and pull out parts, the results on this are mad

their website is here

The channel wouldn't be possible without sponsors like PCBWay go check them out and show the love

Why not try printing our Mini badger, dont forget to post your results you can tag us on Instagram @honeybadgerprintandpaint

the easy-to-find 2017 paper titled Large-Scale Rapid Liquid Printing covers the basics with the same verbage used here and answered the question i had of the gel medium type.. The suspension medium is a granular gel produced by using carbomer 940, a crosslinked polyacrylic acid polymer in the form of white powder mixed into water until it is fully dissolved then mixed with a neutralizing agent, such as a sodium hydroxide solution, is added until the mixture reaches a neutral pH value of 7.0.

This might be the most sci-fi product I have ever seen.

Oh man i love this direction. I wonder what the print times are like?

I wonder what the heat tolerance is...would love to know if you could now 3d print silicone tubing for engine exhaust and turbo parts...

This is the most futuristic technology I've ever seen, and that is including generative AI.

3D printed fleshlights about to be wild yo

I wonder if this could be used with bio printing to prduce delicate body parts without scaffolding

I really want to see more on this. I was hoping to see the print quality up close

Can it print hard rigid plastics or only soft flexible stuff?

I didn't hear any mention of the resolution?

txwombat

What is the resolution ie what's the smallest printable detail. Couldn't you do the same thing with SLA resin, applying the resin in the gel and then using UV light to harden it in the gel to create non flexible objects? That seems pretty obvious.

I could see this is how organs are going to be printed

After something has been printed, can the jell that is left be used for another print or do you have to throw the left over jell away?

I want one at home for my 1/35th scale and 1/18th scale models!

I wonder if stronger and more solid parts can be made as well?
This is very cool, but I'd love for them to be made of some stronger or at least more solid materials.

Like if I wanted to make my own models and paint them, ofc that won't work on these flexible materials

My only concern is the bubbles in the material holding the print.

Hemadrum

so it wont do rigid parts as I understand it? only flexibles?

That title sounds like my last relationship.

Instead of see the 3D printing process in realtime there was a big aquarium with gel and already printed parts in it... are they really printed with rapid liquid printing?

It also looks like it can't print objects as a resin printer would; the used material flows into the gel and didn't see any high detailed things printed.
