You make a good point actually. Now that you mention it, it makes complete sense. I'm still confused as to why they think it will sell to console gamers - I'm willing to bet 95% of the people who would have been interested in Diablo 3 played it on PC at launch.

Besides the games a hollow, monetized shell of what it could of been, and I hope the new console fanbase will realize that before forking out a ton of money for the best gear.

It's actually a pretty good game now, it's come a long way.

Diablo 3 was setup to be a console game.
only 4 players into a game > 4 controllers.
quests make you walk in a linear closed circuit to keep your buds next to you on the same screen.
no skill points or complicated number crunching? To make console players happy.
4-5 skills on your bar at once? > controller.
can't host a named game? Auto join
achievements?
passive skills? Perks.
PC gamers are just beta testing for the console release.
That's how ActiBlizz intends to make the real money.

D3 sold 10 million copies the first week of release because it was a Diablo game, it's sold 13 million in total. Don't you think that speaks volumes? It proves my point, most people have lost interest in D3.

And for your other comment, I'm a fanboy of what exactly? I'm getting pretty sick of these replies now, it's bordering on spam. I'm really not assed if people buy this game or not. I simply don't think it makes sense to release it on consoles.

Thanks for the unnecessary insult, always a good judge of character. Believe me I -wanted- to love Diablo 3 so badly but Blizzard made so many mistakes I lost faith in them.

Blizzard said on PS4 press conference that they have made a sweet deal with Sony on making games for the PS3 and PS4.

I can imagine it won't be long before blizzard make's starcraft 2 wings of liberty or the heart of the swarm expansion pack for xbox and ps3

They should have put this on the Wii U as well... manage your inventory on the touch screen while gameplay is on the TV, it's a no brainer.

And yet it always received good to very good scores. Diablo 3 is a good game, it's fun and so are the Call of Duty games. Good. Solid. Nothing mind blowing but genuine entertainment. All these little Haters like you, gaming hipsters as you will, are nothing better or even different than the average fanboy they loathe so much.

And like I said, this is simply not really the case. Diablo 3 is good, without a doubt it has it's issues (especially technically with the DRM), but nonetheless if you can come over it, is overall an entertaining game and most gamers agree. If you don't like a game, simply don't play it, don't buy it, wait a couple days to see it's for you or not, but there is no point in going berzerk over petty things, besides proving that you must live a miserable life

I'd pay for it and thoroughly enjoy it. I buy a lot of games that I own on my console to my PC because they're different experiences. If in the end I'm enjoying the game then it's done their job.

But maybe you're defending a game because you personally really like it, despite the many flaws and awful business practices is entailed and hey, maybe that's a little sad too ya'know?

TheDanorte said everything I was going to say. Diablo 3 sold well on hopes and dreams and when fans of Diablo 2 finally found out what an unpolished and monetized turd Diablo 3 was they quickly lost interest.
