Fiji needs to pick players who would charge through a brick wall for the Bati jersey. Many of the NRL players from Fiji are donning the Bati colours simply because of their Fijian heritage, lacking the true passion and commitment to the jersey. Look at PNG, the majority of their squad consists of local talent who understand the significance of the Kumuls jersey. For them, representing the Kumuls is the pinnacle of achievement in PNG rugby league, and they play with immense pride and heart for that jersey.

A reflection of how badly we were missing Brandon who's suspended and Api out injured, and Kevin playing standoff really didn't help either despite Kurt's best efforts at halfback.

After all, the spine brings the whole team together and we were unsurprisingly disappointing towards a rampant Kumuls outfit.
