Only 5 cars were built by the factory in 1974/75 of this special version Alpine A110 1800VA. After a long restauration process the car now appears in it`s original condition, restored to highest original standard.

Fabulous car.
Saw the Alpines in several Rallies here in Europe.
Competing against the Lancia Stratos, they owned the the (crazy, narrow) roads.
Porsches for some reason seldom finished in the top 3 positions.

Most people get very excited and surprised with the speed and fantastic skills of the drivers.
It so happens that some Rallies Include segments taking place at night!
Totally amazing although less sepctacular -- the several head-lights of each car become visible and in a blur, a zooming by vehicle desapears in seconds.

During the day, driving in a Rally is glorious -- in narrow, dark Roads in the middle of the night seems to be total madness.
Although serious accidents rarely take place.

It sounds so good, and just with a 4-pot. Modern cars just don't have that same presence any more.

I remember being in Nairobi, Kenya during the last 80s wondering why so many people had gathered in the streets. My uncle said "Oh, the Safari Rally is in town!" and moments later a Mk2 Escort came thundering through town in that similar character of sound as the Alpine shown here... They had some cool motorsports back in the day, whose cars just became legends.

Smashing car! I had the 1300 Gordini A110 in the early 80’s. It was the only car I hugely regret selling. I can’t afford one now. 😤🤮

Musica e video fantastici, coinvolgenti, emozionanti. L'Alpine? Una bestia. Una macchina da guerra. Micidiale. Bellissima! E così snella! Ne ho vista una a Velden, targata Klagenfurt, blu. Mi è comparsa all'improvviso. Tra il castello e il lago, procedeva lentamente. Da rimanere senza fiato.
