AMOLED panel makes so much sense for a smartwatch, as it only needs to light up the pixels that are needed rather than the whole panel. Imagine how much power it saves when displaying those mostly black watch faces with a couple white hands.

In the short span of just over four years and eight months I had one of these, put it aside in favor of another watch ⌚ and then, thanks to eBay, bought an excellent replacement. My original Moto 360 Gen 2 was, sadly, left on its charger, neglected for one month, and its tiny brain got scrambled.

I just received my new-old-stock Moto 360 Gen 2 via the US Mail. The moment I opened the package was like going back in time to late-2015.

I'm spending some time now getting reacquainted with my new Moto 360 Gen II. I can remember how enthused I was when my original Moto 360 Gen II arrived. There is something about _this_ particular smartwatch that really captures my imagination. Maybe it's the startup animations or how it looks on the charger as it shows the charging status. I'm really happy with this smartwatch, again!

The flat tire should be converted to a small solar panel like those found on G-Shock watches. If it had a solar panel to help the battery, it would be nearly perfect.

I've been wanting to get the first gen 360 but now the 2nd gen is out im thinking to get this one.... Important factor for me is that this watch can be used with both Android and Ios. Since I carry 2 phones with me and havent made the full switch to Android yet. But the first gen is only 130-150 USD online... Half the price.... So is the 2nd gen worth the extra money??

Did your buckle scrape the edges of your watch strap? I just ordered a brown one from Motorola, and the first time it went through the buckle it scraped the watch strap almost looking like it is exposing the leather underneath the finish.

I'm new to smart watches and I'm looking to use one with my android phone. I like the look of this 2nd gen moto 360. And while all these reviews talking about the specs and what not are interesting, no one really talks about the functionality of it. What are some of the benefits of using an android smart watch? I obviously don't need it for the time, my phone has the time, so what are some useful things it can do? Can you download a ton of useful apps from the appstore or something? Can I use spotify on it?

- thanks Josh.. I like the direction you're taking this product.. I hope the 3rd Gen.. has a few more "physical" buttons.. the touch screen can't and shouldn't do everything.. I still like the traditional controls on a "watch".. to be able to press without even looking.. Cheers..

this may sound a really stupid question but I am concerning this as my first android watch in the somewhat near future (within 6 months) I work at a fast food place and the thing that runs thru my head is the quality, is it good to be around the grill? or to consider a pass on this? what do you think.

Just a correction regarding the resolution and ppi. Mens 42mm and Womens: 1.37” (35mm), 263ppi (360 X 325)
Mens 46mm: 1.56” (40mm), 233ppi (360 X 330).
Finally managed to place an order for the 46mm version (stainless steel case with micro knurl bezel and stainless steel link strap). Cannot wait for It!!!
