UK PM Rishi Sunak joins key India-UK NSA level meet between Ajit Doval, Tim Barrow

India-UK NSAs, Ajit Doval and Tim Barrow are set to hold key meeting in London, sources said. As a special gesture, British PM Rishi Sunak will join the NSA Dialogue ‘for a while’. The High Commission of India in London tweeted and informed about the same. They further informed that both India, UK value strengthening strategic partnerships in trade, defence. In Sept 2022, Tim Barrow was chosen to serve as the NSA of UK. Earlier, Barrow was the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office’s Political Director. India, UK share a comprehensive strategic partnership with each other. The ties between India, UK has often been described as a ‘Living Bridge’. The two nations have already concluded six rounds of negotiations for a trade deal and will begin the next round soon. Notably, India, UK began the negotiations for a FTA in Jan 2022.
