Too early to say as this chapter is still being written. From a humanistic stand point helping people in need is always the right stand to take. But to invite hundreds of thousands of them into your society, knowing they bring a culture that is incompatible with that of the german, and that immigration from that part of the world already has a failed track record in the country, doesn't appear thought out. Adding on to that is the fact of knowing that there's an uncertain number of terrorists entering your country on that same invitation without you having any idea who they are. She might be on the right side of history along with many other world leaders in not remaining indifferent to this crisis, but her solution (which didn't solve anything for those who were too late to the party and now face a closed border) could be the mistake of the century and hurt European societies for decades.
