WESLEY COLLEGE SONG - A LEGACY

The College Song of Wesley - is the first ever School Song that has been written in Sri Lanka. The Lyrics of The Wesley College Song were composed by Mr. H.J.V.I. Ekanayake in 1898. It reflects the dreams and aspirations of the Founding Fathers of Wesley.
The Lyrics Of the College Song have been set to the Music of "Scots Wha Hae" by Robert Burns in 1793 " which is also adapted from the Traditional Scottish Patriotic tune "Hey Tuttie Tatie" composed in the year 1314 according to tradition, and was played by Robert Bruce's Army at the Battle of Bannockburn.
