A Parisian Doodle, the Val de Grace Church in Paris.
Designed by François Mansart and completed by Jacques Lemercier, the church is an architectural masterpiece that harmonizes classical symmetry with dramatic ornamentation. The dome, inspired by St. Peter’s Basilica in Rome, dominates the skyline, while the richly decorated interior features frescoes by Pierre Mignard, depicting the Virgin Mary presenting the infant Louis XIV to God.

The façade, with its Corinthian columns and sculptural reliefs, exemplifies the grandeur of 17th-century religious architecture. The adjacent convent complex, originally built for the Benedictine nuns, later became a military hospital.

I was fortunate to receive a very classical training in France, at the Beaux Arts (Ecole d'Architecture de la Villette) as well as a very forward thinking outlook of Tokyo Institute of Technology in Japan. I have put these to use designing (and sketching) buildings around the world. Sketching is both a designing tool and a pleasure. My goal is to try to convince as many young designers and wannabe artists to engage in drawing and sketching as a part of a daily routine.

私は幸運にも、フランスでクラシックな教育を受ける機会に恵まれ、ボザール（ヴィレット建築学校）で学びました。同時に、日本の東京工業大学では、非常に先進的な視点を培いました。これらの経験を活かし、世界中で建築の設計（そしてスケッチ）を行ってきました。

スケッチは、設計のツールであると同時に、大きな楽しみでもあります。私の目標は、一人でも多くの若いデザイナーやアーティスト志望の方々に、日々の習慣としてスケッチやドローイングに取り組んでもらうことです。
