The concept of a wine taster who keeps accidentally being given Baja Blast is hilarious.

A mountain dew sommelier would be a much needed expert with all the different flavors out there.

It's scary how much wine-related stock footage you managed to find for this video

Im convinced, HaI just tripped over the wine category on his stock footage site, and things escalated from there to this video.

"We're wine tasting here, not tasting wine."

Pretty much sums up all wine snobs.

My Cousin knows a lot about wine, she can probably tell you which wine goes with every food. She grew up at her father's bar and he taught her, and in the couple of places she has been working, most of the people has been wondering why she has never got a Sommelier certification.

That's the clinch, my cousin is allergic to sulphites and can't drink wine, the simple smell of it makes her feel sickly, and to get the title, you need to do the whole smelling, tasting thing. She was just fed the theory by her dad and has been reciting it ever since.

Oh I'm here for this. I'm WSET level 3!

Unfortunately, Mountain Dew Baja Blast wasn't on our curriculum. :(

“Suggest that you’ve cracked a bottle of mountain due baja blast again” killed me.

I learned precisely one thing from this:
Drinking Mtn Dew Baja Blast makes you a sommelier

When he said "sommeliers don't taste wine the same we do. Usually chugging it over the sink while crying" cracked me up! Love it 🤣🤣🤣🤣

In France we also smell the wine first before shaking the glass to see how the smell evolve after it has been shaken.

The really funny part is when sommeliers can’t tell the difference between red wine and dyed white wine. Specifically, not recognising the red wine they were given was actually identical to the white they were given, just dyed red.

"If you've already tasted the wine you've failed at tasting the wine"

This sounds like something they could have used for an episode of “Frasier”
Niles and Frasier fighting over who gets to attend a tasting with a Master Sommelier… and in the end they both end up embarrassing themselves and drinking beer in a bar instead.

Ah yes, a wine tasting video yet Sam still successfully sneaks in Mtn Dew Baja Blast as to be expected 😂

The video I have been waiting for! I follow on social media a Master Sommelier who was based in Charlotte NC for sometime, he sourced wines for the nicest upscale restaurants in Uptown. I visited one of the restaurants, had an outrageously expensive steak, and saw the wine locker and the visual guide (of the restaurant’s wine collection and it’s resident Master Sommelier) on the wall.

It is astonishing just how many comments about Baja Blast there are

Ah yes, the bouquet of Mt. Dew Baja Blast has hints of lime, quite delectable.

i feel the reason for people learning this is less to know where something is made when they taste is and rather to know how it will taste after hearing where, when, and with what it was made.
