guy I used to work w had a c5 ls1 w a procharger. kept sheering the water pump pulley off for some reason. went through 3 pulleys and an upgraded one before he said screw it and sold it lol I’d probably keep it NA. 500-600hp w a good tire setup is plenty.

I have a 2001 Z06 in the manual, the best car I’ve ever driven in hands down, I definitely wanna do some mods to it

The C5 is the absolute bargain for a hot rod . You can even stroke the 5.7 to a 383 and rip shit. These cars are lightweight especially by today's standards and will respond well to any mods

LS1's got to go for performance. There's so many bigger, later generation aluminum LS engines that your cheapest big mod is swapping.

I can’t believe you haven’t brought up the srt4 500whp+ stock block 80 dollar springs for 8k rpm no problem. Spring retainers piston rods like a Honda and crank strap kit if you want to be safe 750whp+ cheapest car, you can modify if we’re talking about online genuine parts at the time and modern performance had all the parts enough to make 900whp for sale when the car came out. You got there stage 3 package out the factory tdo5 turbo and put some slicks up front you were faster then the viper in the Quarter Miles and on a roll it’s has you were even faster. Viper was the fastest second production car on the market that year. If you had 500hp in those people feared you. It took Honda over 20 years to make something faster it was a fwd evo. 4g63 head fit on it even some internal parts . A beat one for 3k and ok one for 4-5k 3 years ago now a 120 k mile ok condition go for 12k. That being said there they were cheap to modify and cheap so people dogged them out 300 dollars motor form the junk because for pt gt there most sold car. You could rebuild the motor in the car there easy to work on and there rare now due to being junk or beat on

Why People always ask how to make more HP out of their Car?
350HP ist more than enough for 90% of you.
If you wanne update the Car than start with Susspension, Breaks, Weight, Cooling.
And if you have those 4 Things done, than you can maybe think about some more HP.

You probably explained this hundreds of times but do you know a simple way I can increase compression in my sbc 350? I was gonna get it machined but the shops around me are known to make flat tappets go bad and going roller is out my budget already.
