YOU DA MAN!!!! I couldn't figure out what was wrong and had not clue what that part was as it was just hanging free when I cleaned my filters.

You just saved me from suffering in triple digit heat. THANK YOU!!!

You are a genius. Thank you so much. I stay In my camper when I travel for work and i have had this problem intermittently for 2 years and sure enough I pulled it apart yesterday morning and it was sitting sideways in there . Put It back in place and it works perfect . Thanks alot man.

Thanks, finally a video that doesn't start with "your coils are dirty" or "I don't know what's wrong with it but let's take it apart and see", I dropped the cover on mine, touched the lead wire and the thermistor fell out, wasn't secured in the evaporator at all. Putting a new one in.

I went and checked mine it wasn't stuck in a coil it was just free floating in the air so I stuck at the very top of the very right looking up into the intake because I've noticed that's where it freezes over first I've watched so many videos on this and yours is the first one I found that even brought this up kudos to you and your informational video

Make sure the coils are clean! Every time mine freezes it's bc the coils are clogged with dog fur.

Works well in our small garage that holds exercise equipment in

Yay just fixed my ac because of your vid! The thermistor was not even connected into the fins at all. Thanks for posting! Oh and the insulating baffle was completely out of place as well mixing hot and cold air in the unit.

Nice video but you need to do inlet temp compared to outlet should be around 20 degrees difference

Generally the last number/letter on a part number denotes a change to the part or revision to the part drawing. The number/letter usually is separated by a dash to make it easier to notice. In this case the number probably means a change to the blue colored female spade connectors.

Can you spray cleanerup onto coils. My ac is dripping, not real cold. Senior Low income, cannot repair on roof. Fl heat.

I have a question, all air conditioners must have the temperature connection.

The temperature sensor to the radiator to the top and not the middle will that reduce the ice build up? The camper is brand new 1st time out we are only on day5 of the trip. We resealed the cold air leaks ., but the ice starts at the top and stops at the probe sensor from that point down is dry

My AC is a Duo-Therm by Dometic, every now and then it freezes up what could be the cause of this?

Thanks for posting this, Aaron. It may save me a lot of money. Did changing out the freeze plug resolve your problem? Asking as I have the exact same ac with the exact same problem. Thank you!

Is there an actual hole the long probe goes into or does it just stick anywhere in the coil
