My stepfather was a fighter pilot in the Army Air Corps during WWII, eventually retired as a colonel and then returned as a civilian and was a base executive officer. I remember asking him about UFO’s as a young man and he just got a real serious look on his face and said, “yeah, they’re REAL. Don’t forget about the pilots that pushed an issue about a sighting and wound up being removed from a highly competitive billet to flying rubber dog crap 💩 out of Hong Kong, and threatened with being prosecuted for treason if they pursued it further.
