Slayer Postmortem Guitar Lesson - Downpicking

Here is a sample lesson of Postmortem by Slayer from the 1986 album Reign in Blood.

The goal is to down pick or down stroke as much of the song as possible to build up stamina in the picking hand/arm. The key is to not tense up but keep your motions loose and relaxed.

Im not sure if you hit the open e string after the slides in the beginning
