The only thing she hated more than me was being alone. She had an affair and lined-up this guy to get another source of supply. I was so worn out and disgusted with her that I helped her pack and loaded up my truck to get her out. After two months, reality had hit her hard, her affair partner was an alcoholic and had major health issues. She wanted to "talk" after returning our kids on her visitation one evening. She wanted to come back but I told her No. Allowing her to return would be like giving her another bullet to shoot at me. I got the divorce done pretty fast and I thought my life would be more peaceful. Her anger and revenge was just getting started on me for trying to move on. She would use our children as pawns to get back at me for the next 8 years. She constantly tried to change the rules, dates and times on her visitations that was stated in the divorce decree without consulting me, especially during the holidays and birthdays. The kids and I survived. I am just relieved it is over.

I'm dealing with one at the moment. Stuck on 2, (3), 4, i think 5 is ok, 6, and 7. Mainly 2, 4 and 7. Ill delete their number now. They also keep pushing weird ideas onto me, tell me what to do, and break my boundaries. I am attached (an old school colleague), and was thinking of giving them "another chance". I left her after I caught her cheating on me. Went immediately no contact. First hoover after 10 days, second after 5 months. Here I am after 5 more months. I should feel better, instead I’m obsessed with revenge thoughts. Pretty ashamed of myself but I just can’t help it.

So good! The words "thinking you are strong enough or that this time it will be different" speak volumes to me. Mine were family members and the pressure was to "forgive and forget" because it was family. So instead of the behaviour being addressed the target was asked to change. No contact for years now.🤐

Narcissists don't know what love is... 8:00 they only know how to cause pain and confusion.

My narc doesn't have a clue how to give love, and she only takes love... but even when she takes she finds a way to insinuate that I have somehow victimized her and owe her more.

Because of our own empathy, 8:18 we are temptd to treat narcs as we would like to be treated, but in the end, we are left hurt, broken and betrayed of all measure of kindness and compassion. Narcissist reward our love with hate and our kindness with cruelty. That is why we cannot reason with them.

Your quite correct. The problem is that most of us don’t know or didn’t know what narcissism is. I would defend myself and argue back for 4 years. I did not know I was being played so I could give her supply. I appreciate now and wish I knew then what I know now from incredible pain and suffering I’ve endured !

Going through it right now and you are spot on! I’ve gone no contact since 2018 and they still want to argue. Their smear campaign has been in full bloom for the last decade. Luckily, I have documented everything, photos, email, and finance records.

It's true what you've said when you give them a 2nd chance it's seems all is well temporarily but then the abusive behaviour starts again when they re-gain control when you start communicating again! 😊💖😇🙏.
