Desi cared for his Mother most of his life as his father left her; thoughtful son.

I think Desi leaving part of his estate to his mother was a wonderful thing to do. Her name was Dolores de Acha, by the way. There's an episode where Ricky is telling someone his whole name on the phone and uses de Acha, he pauses a moment after saying that then replies to whomever he's speaking, "thank you, but I'm not sneezing." The writing staff was brilliant. Thanks Rick.

I think it is a noble thing to remember your mother as well as children in a legacy like that. I don’t really understand people who choose to leave the bulk of their fortune to something like their cat or a charity for growing marshmallow roots.

Hey Rick, I was surprised to hear that Desi left money for his mom, what a good son!! As for the bulk of the estate going to Lucie & Desi Jr, I think that's usually how it goes. My parents are both deceased & my sister & I split everything right down the middle. Thanks for sharing this look into Desi's estate!! 👍🙄

Interesting video Rick. I personally think the natural thing to do is leave ones money to their children. Having the ability to leave your parent any money is a wonderful thing, although very sad for a parent to outlive their child. I think that was very kind. Thanks for sharing.

People do strange (and sometimes vile) things in order to get "their" share of an inheritance. I'm happy that this wasn't the case here.

I agree that 40 Million dollars is a big sum of money. But remember, Lucy and Desi OWNED "Star Trek". They sold everything to Paramount. The Star Trek property alone is worth Billions of dollars just in itself. Had they retained even a partial, ownership of that property, their estates would have been substantially larger

It is sad that Desi outlived his mom, but after his wife died in 1985, he must have known he was not going to live much longer, and that would explain why he would have put his mom in his will. It is always sad when parents outlive their children, but it does happen all the time. I have always admired Desi Arnaz, and he showed in his will like he did in his life, that he was a straight up good man.

Estates, inheritances and such can be very complicated, especially when there are second marriages and children etc. So many variables can come into play.
